INDUSTRY FOCUS

Metropolitan seeks to identify special situations in lower-middle market and growth stage companies that allow us to invest in growing companies with quality management at reasonable valuations. We elect to partner with management to capitalize on unique opportunities in the marketplace and endeavor to build value through sustained and profitable growth.

Metropolitan's approach to Special Situation investing is to:

1. Find businesses we can understand and would want to own long-term
2. Gain unique insights via pre-investment consulting
3. Build an actionable execution plan
4. Build more enterprise value than management can achieve on own
5. Many successful private companies have intrinsic value but suffer from operational inefficiencies.
